In general there are two types of stress: negative stress and positive stress. First let’s talk about what stress is. Stress is the combination of a stressor and the body’s reaction to it. Stressors are triggers that cause us to experience stress. They can be major life events or small daily hassles. Temporary events such as sudden danger or physical activity cause stress, then the stress is acute (because it doesn’t last a long time). When you feel stressed for a long time, your stress is chronic.
